Nutrition & Exercise Smoothie The Combination for Inspiration

By Christine Ardigo

Hello my friends!

I am a Registered Dietitian (not nutritionist, which could mean someone picked up a book, read it and then called himself a nutritionist). I graduated from C.W. Post College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition. Β I decided to torture myself with an additional two more years of college and obtained a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology.

After an unforgettable one year (unpaid) internship, I took my four hour exam and poof! R.D. has followed my last name for the past 30 years. 10 years ago, I became certified with ACE as a Personal Trainer.

I want the world to learn that they can stop dieting, lose weight and enjoy their food if they would just learn to watch their portions and eat nutritious (delicious) whole foods. If exercise made it into their lives as often as they watched TV, they’d feel healthier, less tired, have fewer diseases and find incredible strength within themselves.

I plan to teach you, one lesson at a time, how you can slowly change your behaviors and lifestyles and spend the rest of your years enjoying your lives. Nutrition & exercise is the sauce and the cheese on your pizza, but there are so many other toppings that can be added to bring you a full happy life.

In addition to Nutrition and Exercise advice, I plan to share stories of motivation, humor and inspiration to help you realize there’s so much more that you are capable of if you just turn off that negative brain inside you and replace it with positive vibes.

  1. Love it so far. You did a great job with the software.
Hope you have solved your problems…

  2. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason appeared to be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

  3. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research about this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such wonderful info being shared freely out there.

    Hi Christine
I found your blog through a comment you made on Kristen Lamb’s and thought I would check it out. Very nice!!! And I’m personally glad I did as getting healthier is one of my big priorities this year – I have Ankylosing Spondylitis (like RA), and am trying to control it more through diet and exercise, since the shots I was taking have fun possible side effects like cancer. πŸ™ I’m also a writer and trying some new things (flying) so I really enjoyed those articles too, so I’ll be subscribing. πŸ™‚

Keep up the great work and thank you,

  12. Great about me. I just graduated with my B.S in nutrition in psych and in a few days I’m starting my MS in Nutrition! Afterwards I’m doing my dietetic internship!

Awesome! Good luck. What are you getting your MS in? Where are you doing your internship?

      • Thank you! I’m going to NC State for Nutrition. I’m not sure where my internship will be yet since there isn’t a combined one for NCSU. I’m hoping to do it at Lenoir Rhyne University since it’s specialty is childhood obesity.
